Joe & April Hope

It's been a good while, almost 10 years since we started Joe North Custom Cabinetry. Around the birth of our first baby girl. Joe was born and raised in Ennismore, a cabinet maker with a degree in Architectural Millwork, talented and ready to branch out on his own (whether he knew it or not at the time, I'm not sure, but we went for it anyways). 

We started out of our small garage in East City, Peterborough, and, within 4 years, moved to a run-down property in Douro, just 10 minutes from town, and back to where I grew up. We built a shop and worked on the house little-by-little, settling in at our property and growing our family and our small cabinetry business right along with it. In 2021, I came on board as designer, offering 3D and construction design services, letting Joe spend more time in the shop building and installing the fine cabinetry that we have become known for.

Custom Cabinetry for your Forever Home

We think that every home deserves to be a forever home. Our first little story-and-a-half bungalow was sold a few months after we finished installing our first dream kitchen, so we get it. Where you are now is not necessarily where you're going to be in 2, 5 or even 10 years from now, but there's no reason you can't feel like its where you want to be while you're there. Even now, every time we head into town we still take the long route down our old little street to hopefully get a glimpse of our first beautiful kitchen, and point out to our kids where it all started.

Every kitchen we design and craft is build custom to you and your family, and we take a lot of pride in that. You are the designer at the end of the day, its your family that lives in the space and knows what will suit your style and how the kitchen will get best used. Whether you need a cabinet to house your mixmaster, fourth quesadilla press or just a locker to stuff all the hockey gear in, we can design a space that suits your needs, is timelessly beautiful and will be loved in for years to come.
